Six Thinking Hats

Six Thinking Hats

Imagine you have decided to renovate the bathroom in your house. The old facilities are about to be removed and you need to decide what features you would like in your new and improved bathroom.

You have decided on most of the new features, but there is a challenge: your bathroom is quite small. This means that you don’t have space for both a bath and a separate shower cubicle, and this leaves you with at least two options:

Option 1: you can install a bathtub with a shower and screen fitted to it.

Option 2: you choose not to have a bath installed, and just have a shower cubicle instead.

Creative thinking with Six Hats is perfect for solving challenges like this. Use the Six Thinking Hats technique to create a sequence of thinking, exploring the decision about whether to install a bath with a shower screen or a shower cubicle in a new bathroom.

Solution :

This is a very logical question.

We will use option 2 because the bathroom is small. We will use a shower cubical instead of a tub.
Because this will save our place and water will not be scattered here and there.

Due to the bathroom cubicle, the water of the Shower will remain in a certain range and the bathroom will not be wet from outside.
